generously been given to EWTN by founder Steve Wood. It represents
the opinion of the newsletter's authors and should be accepted as
such. Parents who have found the Harry Potter books useful may be
inclined to disagree. However, the cautions about a pre-occupation
with the occult still remains. Even if the moral metaphors in Potter
serve some good purpose, the lives of the saints represent a magic
more powerful and real, holiness, and one without any danger to the
reader. We are what we read.
